I was greatly disappointed in the decision of the Eagle to run the editorial from the St. Louis Post Dispatch pertaining to Justice Scalia. You have the right to publish anything you like – but I would hope you would strive to avoid publishing that which is misleading, if not downright untrue. April is Confederate History Month by proclamation of the Governor and The Alabama Board of Education. Each year the Major John C. Hutto Camp and the Jefferson Lovell Chapter of the UDC commemorate our Confederate American veterans by placing flowers and a Confederate flag wreath at our Confederate American Veteran's monument. The flowers and wreath memorial have been part of the local Confederate veteran commemoration for decades. more
