Marlene Hyde of Oakman and Nina Edgil of Jasper were the winners of dolls raffled off by the Doll Haven Doll Club on Dec. 11. Proceeds from the raffle were used to help needy families at Christmas.

Ginny Posey, a sophomore and varsity cheerleader at Cordova High School, performed on New Year's Day in the London New Year Parade. Posey was invited to participate in the parade after being named an All American Cheerleader for the third time at UCA Cheer Camp during the summer. In addition to cheering at CHS, Posey also cheers for the Ace Night Hawks and dances competitively for Showstoppers Dance Company. She maintains a 4.0 GPA, is the sophomore class secretary and is also a member of the Beta Club and Performing Arts Club.
