Extension office recycling Christmas trees

Staff of the Walker County Extension Office will be accepting live Christmas trees when the office reopens on Thursday. The trees will be chipped by Pleasant Grove Lawn and Land Maintenance, according to a post on the office's Facebook page. The mulched material will be donated to the local Humane Society to be used for bedding. All ornaments and decorations should be removed from the trees before bringing them to the office, which is located on Airport Road.
