Work continues on downtown sign

A crew from Willcutt Masonry of Jasper on Friday performed final masonry work on the new downtown Jasper entrance sign at 19th Street and Euclid Avenue, being developed by the Kiwanis Club of Jasper at the site of a new pocket park. Michael McGrough, left, and Jason Riddlesperger put finishing touches. Denny Kimbrell of KIMCO  Poured Walls poured the concrete. 

Jasper’s Maney Havis, above, and Mark Stitt, at left, will be among nine Viking wrestlers who will take part in the Alabama High School Athletic Association State Wrestling Tournament in Huntsville beginning today.
