The Walker County Commission on Monday recognized Breast Cancer Awareness Month for October, issuing a proclamation and hosting a reception afterward with the Breast Cancer Support Group of Walker County. The group noted a Spirit Night will be held tonight at Warehouse 319 from 5-7 p.m., with a portion of the proceeds going to the group to help breast cancer patients. Also, Sunday, Oct. 20, is Worship in Pink Day, when everyone is encouraged to dress in pink when they go to church that day  in honor of breast cancer awareness.  more
