The Walker County Commission on Monday endorsed a new plan that will place Walker County is a revamped workforce development region, ending a lopsided system where it was lumped with 64 other counties. The Jasper Vikings — as well as all other high school teams across the Eagle coverage area — began fall practice Monday in preparation for the 2017 season, which kicks off Friday, Aug. 25.
