SUMITON — One local firefighter was recently honored for his 20 years of service to the City of Sumiton. Fire Captain Mike Hammock was recognized at the Sumiton Fire and Rescue’s Christmas party last weekend for his service and received an axe, which has become a tradition among Sumiton firefighters. more
