One of four men critically injured Monday afternoon in an incident at Carl Cannon Chevrolet in Jasper has died. Jake Jennings, 39, of Trussville, died at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, officials said. Jennings was one of four workers in the service department at the dealership severely burned during what officials have termed a ‘flash fire.’ more
The Dora High School band will be presenting the inaugural Bulldogs, Bands and BBQ event Saturday at the high school. It will serve as a fundraiser for the band, with the money raised going toward purchasing new band uniforms and new instruments. more

An explosion at Carl Cannon Chevrolet Cadillac Buick GMC in Jasper Monday afternoon injured five workers. The explosion happened in the oil change area of the service department at the dealership located just off Interstate 22. more
