Zack, a Celebes monkey, and his caretaker, Rick Rakestraw, greet children at the kickoff of Jasper Public Library’s annual summer reading program on Wednesday. Rakestraw brought several exotic animals to the program, including a ring-tailed lemur named Ringo. Over 100 children are signed up for this year’s program, which continues each Wednesday through July 19. The theme is “Build a Better World.” more
