Mission of Hope in Dora held one of their largest food distributions of the year Thursday to benefit an estimated 300 families. Those in need were sent home with items to prepare a Thanksgiving meal, along with a $12 certificate to purchase additional food at Piggly Wiggly. Guests also received regular pantry items that are distributed bi-weekly. Corner High and Dora High students were in attendance to help distribute the items. A number of other nonprofit organizations were on hand to educate the public about their services. Mission of Hope is a nonprofit organization that operates a food bank and clothes closet.
