Addison shuts out Appalachian

Addison’s defense held Appalachian to 88 yards, including just 16 in the second half as the Bulldogs earned their third straight victory with an 18-0 road win on Friday.

The Bulldogs (3-2) have now three straight games after losing their first two games.

Addison jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first quarter after a Landon Robinson touchdown. John Everett rushed for a score in the second quarter and Dustin Bladow added a rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter.

Robinson rushed 16 times for 101 yards and a touchdown to lead Addison, which racked up 283 yards on the ground.

On defense, Jesse Seals had a pair of second-half interceptions for Addison.

The Bulldogs have outscored their last three opponents 108-3.

Addison (3-2) hosts Meek next week in a Class 1A, Region 6 matchup.

Marion County 64, Meek 0

Top-ranked Marion County rolled up 384 yards of offense en route to a 64-0 win at Meek on Friday.

The Tigers, who suffered their second straight loss, tallied just 159, including 110 yards on the ground.

The Red Raiders, last year’s Class 1A state champion, has already racked up 270 points through five games this season.

Meek (3-2) plays at county rival Addison next week.
