Agnes Johnson Morton, 90, of Jasper, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at her residence. Mrs. Morton was born in Oakman on April 27, 1922. She was a member of Midway Church of Christ and was a retired classroom teacher from North Highlands School.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. today, Oct. 30, 2012, at Oak Hill Cemetery. Mark Howell will officiate. There will be no visitation.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Morton; parents, Fayette and Hattie Tubbs Johnson; son, Billy Charles Morton; sisters, Edna Ellis, Dot Nix and Julia Lee Trego; and brother, T.L. Johnson.

She is survived by her son, Michael Morton and special friend, Susie Blackwood; brother, Hap Johnson and wife, Georgeanne; and many nieces and nephews.
