“The Central Alabama Rodders will be helping us put on the car, bike and tractor show,” said Deb McLemore, one of the event’s organizers.
The registration fee for the car show is $20 and each person who registers a vehicle will be given a free T-shirt and be eligible for door prizes, a money tree and a chance to win a thirty-two inch flat-screen TV.
McLemore said this year’s event will also feature a Family Fun Day with an area set aside specifically for children, which will feature all kinds of fun things to do.
“The children’s area will feature inflatables, horse rides and face painting, and Red Barn Bears will be there if the children would like to stuff an animal, ” McLemore said. “We encourage parents to bring their camera and snap their childrens’ pictures with Mickey and Minnie Mouse.”
McLemore said admission is free. Concessions and vendors booths are available for $10.
“Several vendors have already signed up and will be on hand selling everything from jewelry, clothing and scarves to scents, cookbooks and crafts,” McLemore said. “A Nu’ Body Therapeutic Massage in Jasper will also have a booth for chair massages, and we will also have entertainment, with the Sassy Stompers performing at 11 a.m.”
All the proceeds from the event go to West Jasper Elementary School to help fund different school programs.
“We’re excited about this opportunity to bring together our community for a day of fun and help our school at the same time,” McLemore said. “This year’s event will have something for everybody, so bring the whole family for a day of fun.”
