Bevill State Community College will host a Workforce Expo Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m in the exhibit hall of the Tom Bevill Building 1400 on its Sumiton campus.

There will be numerous local businesses and employers at the expo to provide employment information and opportunities. Among those will be: City of Jasper, Regional Paramedical Service, Drummond Company, American General, Baptist Health Systems, Home Depot, Amtex, Southern Company, VisTech Manufacturing, Hendrick Auto and Walker County Career Center.

“We are pleased to host the sixth annual workforce expo on the Bevill State Sumiton campus in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce of Walker County,” Kim Ennis, dean of students, said. “While there have been major economic changes over the course of six years, the Workforce Expo continues to be a successful event in bringing employers and job seekers together.”

Attendees are encouraged to bring an up-to-date resume. There are also some spots still open for businesses interested in providing information or exhibiting at the expo.

The Workforce Expo is presented by Bevill State Community College in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce of Walker County and the “Focus Walker County Initiative.”
