Arlene Hallmark Tucker, 89, of Winfield, passed away on Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at Ridgeview Health Care Center in Jasper. Mrs. Tucker was born on Jan. 29, 1923 in Marion County, a daughter of William David Hallmark and Ethel Mae McWhirter Hallmark. She was a resident of Winfield most of her life. She was a widow of the Rev. William Clovis Tucker. She was previously employed with garment plants such as Winfield Mfg., Clifford Industries in Winfield and A-1 Mfg. at Brilliant. She was a member of Glen Allen Freewill Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Harold Gene and Bobby Ray Tucker; an infant son and daughter; one granddaughter, Rhonda Whitfield; and one brother, Arlie Hallmark.

Survivors include one daughter, Linda Faye Dobbins and husband, Jerrel of Nauvoo; seven grandchildren, Steve Dodd, Darron and Jeff Tucker, Daryl Whitehead, Kelly Dobbins NeSmith, Richard Alan and Daniel Trent Dobbins; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one brother, Renley Hallmark of Winfield; four sisters, Lucille Sexton and Mary Hamric, both of Winfield, Loudell Mims of Adger and Brenda Blodgett of Chelsea; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be from noon until service time on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at McGraw Memorial Chapel of Miles Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Miles Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Winfield City Cemetery. Jerry Wilkerson will officiate.
