Visitation will be held today, August 5, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kilgore-Green. Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 6, 2012 at 10 a.m. in the Kilgore-Green Chapel. Burial will follow at New Prospect Cemetery. Bill Martin will officiate.
She is survived by her husband, J.W. Vintson of Carbon Hill; daughter, Tonya Lynne Banks of Lillian; grandsons, Greg Hawkins of Chelsea, Chris Banks of Carbon Hill and Austin Banks of Cordova; son-in-law, Jim McCrary of Centerpoint; brother, David Kiker (Shirley) of Empire; sisters, Faye Steadman (Wallace) of Forestdale and Sue Gray (Horace) of Cleburne, Tenn.; a host of nieces and nephews; and many. many friends.
Pallbearers will be Harold Vintson, Jerry Kiker, Andy Morrow, Shannon Sparks, Ray Steadman and Travis Morrow.
Vintson worked at U.S. 42 Secret Air Base in California dealing with F102s and F106s. She then worked on Atlas Missiles at Vandenburg AFB in records, under the command of SAC; but her favorite job was raising her family.
