Betty Sue Lockhart, 58, of Empire, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at Little Vine Baptist Church with burial in Little Vine Cemetery. The Rev. Jared Cagle will officiate. Visitation will be at 6 p.m. today, Feb. 21, 2013, at the church.

Preceding her in death were her son, Terry Tolbert; parents, J.T. and Evelynn Tolbert; and brothers, Donald Tolbert and Jack Tolbert.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Rhodes of Empire; son, James E. Lockhart of Empire; daughter, Betty Lockhart of Mt. Olive; brothers, Otto Tolbert and his wife, Karen, of Empire and Ronald Tolbert and his wife, Terry, of Jasper; sister, Vickie Sue Ward and her husband, Owen, of Curry; seven grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
