Bonnie Jean Barton Tidewell, 85, of Jasper, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2012, at her residence. Visitation was held on Sunday, July 22, 2012, at Collins-Burke Funeral Home Parlor. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today, July 23, 2012, at Collins-Burke Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at New Hope Baptist Cemetery in Jasper. Ryan Rosser will officiate.

She was preceded in death by her father, James M. Barton; mother, Anita V. Walls Barton; sister, Doris Barton Herron; brothers, Jack Barton and William “Bill” Barton; and sister, Sue Barton Banks.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth “Coot” Tidwell of Jasper; daughter, Linda Harrison; son-in-law, Jim Harrison; brother, Joe. R. Barton; and grandson, Jacob Harrison.

Pallbearers will be Jim Harrison, Jacob Harrison, Ray Johnson, Charles Patton, Mack Thomas and Ray Williams.
