She is survived by her husband, Basil Leon Cox; son, Jerry Leon Cox and wife Thelma Marie Cox of Lumberton, N.C.; daughter, Connie Sue Cox Cannon of Jasper; brother, Varney Smith of Clanton; sisters, Betty Lou Smith of Jemison and Vene Wallace of West Blockton; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces.
