C. Wayne “Bear” Lawson, 67, of Nauvoo, passed away on Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at his residence. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Aug. 18, 2012, at Collins-Burke Funeral Home Parlor. There will be no funeral services. Burial will be at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012, at Liberty Grove Baptist Church in Nauvoo.

He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Lawson; and wife, Sharron King Lawson.

He is survived by his sons, Michael Lawson (Angie) of Nauvoo and John Lawson (Kristy); daughters, Sherry Westbrook and Susan Lawson (Robbie); mother, Estelle Keeton Lawson; sister, Lola Estes; brothers, Glenn Lawson, Donald Lawson, Reynold Lawson and B.J. Lawson; grandchildren, Ashley Lawson, Hunter Lawson, Autumn Westbrook, Jerrod Lawson, Bradley Lawson and Westin Lawson; special family members, Wayne and Lucy King; and a host of nephews and nieces.

The family request in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Liberty Grove Baptist Church in memory of C. Wayne “Bear” Lawson.
