Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Collins-Burke Funeral Home parlor. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012 at noon in the Collins-Burke Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow at Walker Memory Gardens. Jerry White will officiate.
He was preceded in death by his father, Burvill Edgil; mother, Lilly Edgil; sister, Rene Townley; brothers, Henry Edgil, K.D. Edgil and R.M. Edgil; and grandson, Kevin Edgil.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Maxine Edgil of Townley; son, David Edgil (Brenda) of Townley and Dennis Edgil (Marie) of Jasper; grandchildren, Kasey Maddox (Jeff), Kayla Goetz (Chris), Chad Edgil and Blake Carpenter (Alyssa); and six great-grandchildren.
