Charles “Chuck” Arthur Trowbridge, born in St. Charles, Ill., took rest at the age of 77 on Monday, May 17, 2012, at the VA Hospital in Birmingham after a long and courageous battle with heart disease. After serving in the Air Force at the conclusion of the Korean War as a tailgunner, he settled in Colorado. Chuck spent more than 50 years in almost every aspect of the real estate industry, including development in Colorado and Hawaii, earning him the prestigious designations of CCIM, GRI, SRS, SCV and CRB. His many accomplishments including helping others reach their goals brought him great personal rewards and satisfaction.

After retiring and moving to Union Chapel, Chuck has enjoyed the rural life here with various activities. His activities and hobbies spanning five decades included Formula racing, skiing, sailing the Caribbean, tennis and dancing. At home he spoiled their dog and three cats.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Amelia; his children, Linda Trowbridge, Sharon Mason, Carl Trowbridge and Craig Trowbridge; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Paul Clark; sister, Beverly Coleman of Denver; and a host of other friends and relatives.

A celebration of life will be held in Colorado in June.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior project or the Walker Area Community Foundation.
