Charles Richard Stearns Sr., 69, of Sumiton, died on Monday, Oct. 1, 2012. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, in Prescott Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at Bell Sumiton Funeral Home.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Walter Charles and Nellie Ruth Stearns; and sister, Yvonne Glaze.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Stearns; son, Charlie Stearns and his wife, Selena; step daughters, Sherri Dickerson, Michelle Gibson, Christine Doss and husband, Terry; grandchildren, Stacey, Carley, Christian, Allison, Brandy, Justin, Sherry, Cassie, James, Michael and Kayla; great-grandchildren, Camden and Mythaniel; and other relatives and friends.
