He is survived by his two step-children, James Garret and Virgie Anderson, wife of Richard Anderson. He has five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was married to Edna for 55 years and will rest in peace beside her at Bethel Cemetery in Oakman following services at the Collins-Burke Chapel on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at 10 a.m. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Jerry Boyd will officiate.
