The rubble of Cordova’s downtown, heavily damaged by a tornado last April, caught fire late Sunday. This marks the third time since the tornado that the structures downtown have caught fire. This fire appeared to be near the closed Glover Pharmacy location, on the opposite side of the blocked street from the last fire. No cause was readily available as of press time. Several area fire departments responded to assist Cordova and ambulances from the Regional Paramedical Service were also on the scene. - Photo by: Jennifer Cohron.
