He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Earice Sherer Clement; son, Terry Clement of Jasper; daughter, Marsha Clement of Chelsea; granddaughter, Nicole Rowland (Andy) of Harvest; grandsons, Brett Clement (Dina) of Jasper, Josh Sanford of Jasper, and Joey Sanford of Jasper; great-grandson, Caelan Estes of Harvest; beloved sisters-in-law, Helen Clement of Jasper and Sue Clement of Jasper; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and Aunt Dot Black.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lige and Carmen “Sis” Clement; sister, Betty Grace; brother-in-law, Bill Grace; and brothers, Ramon Clement and Ronnie Clement.
Clement served in the Army at the end of WWII achieving the rank of Sergeant. He was discharged from the 391st Station Hospital unit in Naples, Italy. After serving in the Army, he married Earice Sherer and they have been married for 65 years. He graduated from Alabama Polytechnic Institute in 1958 with a degree in electrical engineering. He was employed for 43 years with the Alabama Power Company, retiring as plant manager at Gorgas Steam Plants in 1992. He will be missed by his many friends and co- workers.
