Elmer McLain, 84, of Dora passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2012, at his residence. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 in the Collins Burke Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Bryan Cemetery in Sumiton. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today in the Collins Burke Funeral Home Parlor.

McLain was preceded in death by his mother, Stella McLain and brothers, Everett Guyton and Franklin Ray Williams.

He is survived by his wife, Jimmie Sue McLain of Dora; daughters, Deborah McLain of Dora and Pam (Rex) Jones of Sarasota, Fla.; sister, Navona Whetstone of Auburn; brother, Joe (Jean) McLain of Meridian, Miss.; grandchildren, Chasiti Hogg of Dora, Brandon (Brooke) Yates of Dora, Jennifer (Thomas) McNeil of Hayden, T.J. McLain of Dora, Stacie Jones Sarasota, Fla. and Brian Jones of Tuscaloosa; and great-grandhchildren, Cameron Hogg, Kyle Hogg, Christian Hogg, Konnor Hogg, Kynnleigh Loveless and Charlie Yates.
