White-McNair Matthew and Kathy White of Daphne are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, April Lynn White, to David Nathan McNair, the son of David and Wanda McNair of Jasper.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Billy and Linda Alexander of Alexander City and the Rev. Thomas White of Brewton, and the late Alice White. The prospective groom is the grandson of Billy Hugh and Lavonda Aaron of Jasper, William David McNair of Jasper and the late Carol McNair.

The bride-elect is 2002 graduate of Daphne High School and attended the University of South Alabama where she received a degree in elementary education. She is employed with the Baldwin County Board of Education. She teaches kindergarten at Foley Elementary School.

The prospective groom is 1997 graduate of Curry High School and attended Athens State University where he received a degree in collaborative education. He is employed with the Baldwin County Board of Education where he teaches eighth grade special education at Daphne Middle School.

The wedding will take place at 5 p.m. on Dec.18, 2010, in Gulf Shores at The Gulfway Assembly of God. Formal invitations have been sent. A reception will follow the wedding service at the Orange Beach Senior Center.

The couple will reside in Orange Beach.
