Ann Rutledge Wilson of Jasper is pleased to announce the engagement of her daughter, Jenny Rutledge Wilson, to Michael Shawn Greene, son of Thomas V. Greene Jr. of Birmingham and the late Rita "Beth" Ratterree Greene.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Ray and Lorelle Rutledge of Jasper. Miss Wilson graduated magna cum laude from Birmingham-Southern College in 2000 with a degree in accounting and a distinction in leadership studies. She was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa honorary and Chi Omega sorority. Miss Wilson received a J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2004 and served as developmental editor of the Alabama Law Review. She received an LL.M. in taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2005 and served as a graduate editor of the Florida Tax Review. Miss Wilson is an attorney in Birmingham.

The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Thomas and Claire Greene of Savannah, Ga., and the late Harold and Elizabeth Ratterree of Sharpsburg, Ga. Mr. Greene received a degree in chemical engineering from Auburn University in 2001. He is the owner and managing partner of LineWorks Engineering in Birmingham.

The wedding will take place in Utah in January 2013.
