Lynch-Phenicie

Randy and Kim Lynch of Joelton, Tenn., announce the engagement of their daughter, Kayla Kimberly Lynch, to the Rev. Judson Michael Phenicie, son of Michael and Allecia Phenicie of Saragossa.

Grandparents of the bride are Archie and Opal Lynch, and the late Billy Guy and Dee Dee Knight, all of Tennessee.

Grandparents of the groom are Roger and Mary Frances Phenicie, Louise Haynes and the late Bobby Haynes, all of Saragossa.

Kayla graduated from Welch College, Nashville, Tenn., in 2009 with an associate’s degree in biology. In 2011, she graduated from Belmont University with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She has been employed as a registered nurse at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

Judson graduated from Welch College in 2012 with a bachelor of science degree in pastoral ministries and Bible. He is employed as an associate pastor at the Bear Point Free Will Baptist Church in Sesser, Ill.

The wedding will be held at the Good Springs Free Will Baptist Church in Pleasant View, Tenn., on Sept. 7, 2013. The couple will reside in Sesser, Ill.

Farris-VanHorn

Jeff and Vickie Farris of Cordova announce the engagement of their daughter, Dawn Farris, to Anthony VanHorn, the son of the late Toni VanHorn of Cordova and Mike VanHorn and stepmother, Bevelry Moseley, of Cordova.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late J.D. Farris and Edith Farris of Nauvoo, the late Wayne Evans of Cordova, and Harold Owen and the late Julia Evans Owen of Cordova. She is a 2007 graduate of Cordova High School and 2010 graduate of Bevill State Community College with an associates degree in accounting. She is employed with Med-South Inc. Corporate Office.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Judy Madison of Oakman and the late Dean and Jack VanHorn of Cordova. He is a 2000 graduate of Cordova High School and is currently employed with the U.S. Postal Service.

The wedding will be held Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at New Prospect Baptist Church in Jasper at 1 p.m. A reception will follow.
