Eulis C. “Luke” Taylor, 88, of Parrish, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at Walker Baptist Medical Center. He was a loving husband and happily married for 65 years. He was a doting father as well as a loyal older brother. He was also a proud and boastful grandfather and great-grandfather.

Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at Collins-Burke Funeral Home Parlor prior to services. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Collins-Burke Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Odom Memorial Cemetery in Parrish. Hollis Alexander and Howard Thompson will officiate.

He was preceded in death by his father, Otis Taylor; mother, Sylvonia Alice Kilgore Taylor; daughter, Susan Taylor; great-grandson, Alex Rodriguez; and brothers, Andrew Taylor and William Taylor.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Blackwell Taylor of Parrish; daughter, Sandra (David) Ibbotson of Crete, Ill.; sons, Daniel (Caroll) Taylor of Kankakee, Ill. and Thomas (Bev) Taylor of Centerville, Miss.; sisters, Margaret McDonald and Florene Lollar; brother, Roy (Joy) Taylor; grandchildren, Sandra Rodriguez, Tamera Oleson, Robert Taylor, Janey Ibbotson, David Ibbotson, Glenn Leblanc and Holly Martin; and 20 great-grandchildren.
