Freeman is survived by his wife of 64 years, Margie Estus Cochran; son, Freeman (Ann) Willard Cochran Jr.; daughters, Cheryl (Rick) Cochran Allison and Kaye (Eric) Cochran Nail; sister, Gladys Cochran McElroy; sisters-in-law, Sybil Cochran and Marlene Keeton; grandchildren, Matt (Lisa) Allison, Cari Beth (Josh) Allison Ingle, Christopher Cochran, Nicholas Nail, and Erica Nail; great-grandchildren, Dougie and Lucy Allison, and Brady and Blake Ingle; and many special nieces, nephews and extended family. Freeman was a loving husband, father and friend to all who knew him.
Freeman is preceded in death by his father, General Lee Cochran; mother, Lonnie Thrower Cochran Bell; brothers, Melvin Cochran, Fornie Cochran and Garvis Cochran; and sister, Grace Cochran Morrison.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at Farmstead Baptist Church in Jasper. The funeral will be held immediately following visitation at 2 p.m. The Rev. Don Graham and the Rev. Ernie Price will officiate. Kilgore-Green Funeral Home will direct.
