Funeral services will be held today, May 2, 2011, at 2 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel with burial following at Gibson Hill Cemetery. The Revs. Charles Segrest and Joe Fowler will officiate, Collins-Burke Funeral Home will direct.
Visitation was held on Sunday at Collins-Burke Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by his father, Grady Sylvester Earnest; mother, Mandy Gertrude Norris Earnest; wife, Roberta Edwards; sisters, Margaret “Mott” Liss and Katie Pendley and brothers, James Earnest and Donald Dean Earnest.
He is survived by his daughter, DonReita (Robert) Nelson of Fayette; step daughter, Martha Fields of Chicago, Ill.; son, Larry C. (Connie) Earnest of Jasper; step son, Ralph (Darlene) Edwards of Galacia, Ill.; sisters, Lorene (Carlos) Jenkins of Corona and Virgie (Bill) Simmons of Berry; 6 step grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Brian Edwards, Darrell Edwards, Jeffery Earnest, Wesley Earnest, Jay Hyche, Joel Fowler and Don Simmons.
