Helen Ruth Bradford was called home to be with the Lord after a brief illness on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013. She will always be a part of all who knew her.

She was born on Sept. 17, 1932. She was raised in the Leeds area. After marriage, she moved to Graysville where she was an “at-home mother.” She was a member of the Myrtle chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star in Graysville. She resided in the Jasper area in her latter years.

Funeral services will be Saturday Oct. 12, 2013 at 2 p.m. at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Jimmy Bradford will officiate. Burial will follow in New Horizon Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Saturday from noon to 2 p.m.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Erskin and Nellie Stewart; sisters, Doris Stewart and Frances Vest, her husband, James Vadis Bradford; son, Danny Harris and grandson, Brandon Waid.

Survivors include her children, Don Harris, Becky Dollar, Joyce Waid (Harold) and Dennis Harris; seven grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Cora Mae Cox, Johnny Stewart (Barbara), Lester Stewart, Bill Stewart (Pat), and Elizabeth Stewart; daughter-in-law, Pam Harris; stepchildren, Lendel Jordan (Lois), Sarah Musgrove (Dorman), the Rev. Jimmy Bradford (Carol), Martha Kennedy (Eddie), Sandra Poe (Junior), Tim Bradford (Kathy) and Tony Bradford; numerous nieces, nephews and special friends, Pat Bland and family.
