The seventh annual Walker County Home and Garden Show opened Friday at Jasper Mall.

The event is sponsored by Oldies 101.5 FM and Country Legends 88.5 FM.

Station owner Brett Elmore said between 20 and 25 vendors from across central Alabama are participating.

“We’ve got some great giveaways this year. Backyard Pros is giving away a pool. Last year, we had a vendor give away a heat pump system. So, there will be some great prizes,” Elmore said.

The Walker County Home and Garden Show will run today from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Easter Bunny will be making a special appearance, and local musical acts will be performing throughout the day.

Lawn equipment, pools, pest control, home security and insurance are a few of the products and services that will be included in the show.

“Anything for the home, we’ve got it covered,” Elmore said.
