Irvin Dewayne “Wayne” Duncan, 69, of Jasper, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at UAB Hospital from complications of an auto accident.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Collins-Burke Chapel with burial at Walker Memory Gardens. Visitation will be today, Sept. 25, 2012, from 6 until 9 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. John Ed Pinion will officiate. Collins-Burke Funeral Home will direct.

Wayne was the owner and retired from Duncan Diesel Mechanics Shop on Hwy. 5. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Garvin Duncan; grandparents, Ollie and Claude Harris, Martha and Henry M. Duncan.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Gloria Gant Duncan; daughter, Jennifer Jowaine (Jeremy) Meaux; mother, Sarah Bernice Harris Duncan; sisters, Diana (James) Humphries and Denise (Bruce) Cagle; brothers, James Duncan and Waymon (Annette) Duncan; granddaughter, Jana Meaux; niece, Candice Cagle; nephews, Brent Duncan, Clark Duncan and Cameron Cagle; great- nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends who will greatly miss him.

Pallbearers will be David Martin, Allen Gaddy, Phillip Barker, James Snow, Donnie Newman, Glenn Killingsworth, Jimmy Wilcox, and W.H. Windham.
