Winners announced in Chamber’s Christmas Parade

The Chamber of Commerce of Walker County’s 2012 Christmas Parade included more than 100 entries. Parade winners included:

Government: Jasper Fire Department, first place; Cordova Fire Department, second place; City of Jasper Public Works, third place; and Social Security Administration, fourth place.

Business: Jasper Lumber, first place; Home Depot, second place; Crazy Beautiful Salon, third place; Gentiva Hospice, honorable mention.

Nonprofits: New Canaan Baptist Church, first place; Alabama Power Company Service Organization, second place; Oakman First Baptist Church, third place and Cordova Freewill Baptist Church, honorable mention.

Children: Jasper Elite, first place; Girl Scout Troop 22, second place; Cordova Cub Scout Pack 114, third place and Cub Scout Pack 117, honorable mention.

Antique cars: Glenn Ferguson, first place; Muris Boshell, second place; Maeburn Naramore, third place and Jerry Calloway, honorable mention.
