Jacqueline “Jackie” Herzig, 80, of Jasper, passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside. Jackie was raised in the community of Pleasant Grove. She attended Midway Church of Christ. Jackie and her husband Robert L. “Red” Herzig lovingly raised their special daughter, Mary Ann.

Visitation will be from 9 until 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home prior to services. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Levi Sides and Joey Sparks will officiate.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. “Red” Herzig of Jasper; parents, Frank Johnson and Mary “Tubbs” Johnson of Jasper; brother, Tom Johnson of California; and sisters, Tean Bonner of Carbon Hill, Hazel Johnson of Jasper and Dona Wheeler of Jasper.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Mary Ann Herzig of Jasper; sisters, Nora McCluskey of Jasper and Claudine Roper of Panama City, Fla.; and a host of nieces, nephews and loving friends.
