James Lewis Jones, known to his family as “Prince,” 70, of Birmingham, passed away on Thursdday, May 28, 2013.

He was retired from CSX as a conductor after 40 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fayette and Ros Jones; mother, Dollie Emma Smith; and his father, John B. Jones.

He is survived by his son, Casey (Melody) Jones; his daughter, Stacey (Lee) Molpus; and grandchildren, Hilary, Benjamin and Britt; sisters, Judy Tedford and Mary Rose (James) Walton; brother, George (Brenda) Jones; special friend, Herman Taylor; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial services will be held at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2013.
