James Maurice “Mousie” Brown, 69, of Jasper, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at Walker Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Brown was a Vietnam veteran.

Visitation will be at 6 p.m. today, Oct. 25, 2012, at Collins-Burke Funeral Home Parlor. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at Collins-Burke Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Windham Tubbs Cemetery. Mark Otts and Joe Daniels will officiate.

He was preceded in death by her daughter, Jacqualyn Brown; father, Willie Brown; mother, May Brown; and brothers, Jerry Brown, Sammy Brown and Willie Harold Brown.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Brown of Jasper; daughters, Angie Carpenter (David), Jaci Brown and Emberlee Brown; sons, Terry Brown (Machelle) and Jeff Clark (Brandi); sisters, Frankie Miles and Ruth Jones; special friends, Terry (Tero) Hopson and Jon Derek Poole; grandchildren, J.T. Brown, Ty Clark, Brinlee Clark, Stachia Medders (Blake), David Duran, Dillon Carpenter, Dristin Carpenter, Nora Lona Carpenter and Kaden Carpenter; and great-grandchild, Saige Medders.
