Visitation will be from 9:30 until 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Curry Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his son, Steve Gibson; parents, James and Jewell Gibson; and brother, Jim Gibson.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Gibson of Cullman; daughter, Judith Sundquist and husband, Stephen, of San Diego, Calif.; sons, Fred Gibson of Chula Vista, Calif. and David Gibson and wife, Maryellen of San Diego, Calif.; grandson, David Hostetler and wife, Jodi; great-granddaughters, Marin Hostetler and Emma Hostetler; sister-in-law, Clester Gibson; cousin, Vernell Gibson; nephew, William Gibson; and a host of other cousins and family.
