Jerry W. Huffstutler, 71, of Curry, passed away on Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, at his residence. He was a truck driver for more than 50 years. He loved to travel and enjoyed music and singing. He loved piddling on his truck and in his yard. He was well-known by his children and grandchildren for his love of John Wayne.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at Magnolia Chapel South. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, at Moundville Church of the Nazarene. The Rev. Lisa Aaron and the Rev. Carlon Tibbs will officate. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Huffstutler; his parents, Willis Cannie, Bertie Lee and Marybell Huffstutler; his sister, Bobbie (Spee) Hogeland; and his son-in-law, Jimmy Glass.

He is survived by his spouse, Vernell Gibson of Curry; daughters, Cindy Glass and Sonia Ryan; step daughter, Glenda Ramirez (Richard); sons, Steven Huffstutler; step son, Bryan Gibson (Lori); sisters, Willadean White; Opal Jeanette and Margaret Owensby; brother, Randy Huffstutler; grandchildren, Jessica (Allan) Humphryes of Vance, Geri (Adam) McDaniel, Brady Glass, Tara Huffstutler, Taylor Ryan and Tyler Ryan of Moundville; and great-grandchildren, Adin McDaniel, Reed Humphryes, Hudson Humphryes and Nick McDaniel.

Pallbearers will be Darryl Hogeland, Greg McNalley, Hugh Huffstutler, Greg Housch, Phillip Owensby, David Huffstutler, W.L. Huffstutler and Daniel Pierce.

Honorary Pallbearers will be William (P.W.) and Pat Perkins, Joe Hogeland, Dr. Katona and Dr. Busenlenner and staff, and Alacare Hospice of Jasper.
