Jimmy David Akins, 56, of Jasper, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, at his residence. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today, Aug. 16, 2012, at Collins-Burke Funeral Home Parlor. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at Collins-Burke Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Boldo Cemetery in Jasper.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ollis “Buster” Akins; mother, Ethel Marie Payne Akins; brothers, Jarold Ollis Akins and Adrain Allan Akins; and one granddaughter.
He is survived by his brother, Mike Akins of Jasper; son, Randall Ivan; and two grandchildren.
