Visitation was held Thursday, Aug. 16, from 4 until 7 p.m., in the parlor at Collins-Burke Funeral Home in Jasper. Funeral services were held Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be today, Aug. 17, in the Boldo Cemetery in Jasper. Billy R. Luster will officiate. Collins-Burke Funeral Home will direct.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ollis “Buster” Akins; mother, Ethel Marie Payne Akins; three brothers, Jarold Ollis Akins, and Adrain Allan Akins; and one granddaughter.
He is survived by his brother, Mike Akins of Jasper; son, Randall Ivan; and two grandchildren.
