Joe Hollis, 63, of Adamsville, passed away on Monday, May 21, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on today, May 24, 2012, at Bell Sumiton Chapel. The Rev. Gene Cook will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore Hollis and Bertie Busby Hollis; and stepfather, James Henderson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Hassie Hollis of Adamsville; children, Joseph Hollis Jr. of Adamsville, Tanya Williams of Sumiton and Terri McGee and her husband, Joel, of Hayden; grandchildren, Seth Hicks of Breman, Ga., Blake Hicks of Breman, Ga., Jacob McGee of Hayden, Shelbi McGee of Hayden, Madison Tolbert of Sumiton, Kaleb Williams of Parrish and Logan Tolbert of Sumiton, one stepsister; two stepbrothers; and a host of other family and friends.
