The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, from 6 until 9 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be today, Feb. 27, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel, with burial at Guthrie Cemetery. Richard Handley and Charles Segrest will officiate. Collins-Burke Funeral Home will direct.
Mr. Guthrie was preceded in death by his father, Walter Guthrie; mother, Roxie Edgil Guthrie; and 14 brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Joyce Highfield Guthrie; daughters, Teresa McGough (Harve) and Tammy Hall; son, Michael Guthrie (Brenda); grandchildren, Chad McGough, Jason Guthrie, Brook Vinson, Nick Hall and Jillian Guthrie; and great-grandchildren, Devon Guthrie, Emma Grace McGough and Braxton Vinson.
