John Herschel Henry Peterson, 84, of Dora, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at Baptist Medical Center Princeton. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today, June 10, 2011, at Bryan Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Justice officiating. There will be no visitation. Bell Funeral Home Sumiton has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Peterson was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Ellen Quinn Peterson; daughter, Becky Dill; grandson, John Quinn Robbins; parents, Hobson and Susie Peterson; and several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his daughters, Martha Justice and her husband, Bill, of Dora, Katie Bonds of Dora, Susan King and her husband, Ricky, of Dora, and Javalla Williams of Jasper; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
