Funeral services will be today, March 9, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel with burial in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Joel Carden will officiate.
Hayes was preceded in death by his father, Garland Dewey Hayes; mother, Wilma Marie Hamrick; sister, Ruby Bowen.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Carey Hayes; daughter, Deborah Edwards; son, Donald Hayes; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
