He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Shirley Puckett Bland; two brothers, Kenneth Bland (Gwin) of Corner and Raymond Bland (Marie) of Remlap; three sisters, Marie Sandlin (Winfred) of Jasper, Carolyn Speigle (Nelson) of Birmingham and Emogene Cantley (Jim) of Pelham.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Hazel Bland; sister, Ruby Phillips; and brother, James Burvel Bland.
Funeral services will be on July 7, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Crestview Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:30 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home prior to services.
