He was preceded in death by his father, Johnnie Burl Felkins Sr.; and mother, Dorothy Elizabeth Steadman Felkins.
He is survived by his wife, Silvana Norris Felkins of Townley; daughter, Diane Denese Wilson of Montevallo; son, Joseph John Felkins of Townley; sister, Janet Rendent; and brothers, Johnnie Burl Felkins Jr. and James Earl Felkins.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at 1 p.m. in the Oakhill Cemetery in Jasper. Visitation will be held Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, from 6 until 9 p.m., in the parlor of Collins-Burke Funeral Home in Jasper.
